Every now and again i meet people who are curious about Fiji.
Im sure your foreign friends who have never been must have lots of questions,some misguided ideas and well,some not so flirtering facts about the motherland(no pun intended).Internet is so cool,they say it made the world smaller ,i think it made it more interesting.

I find myself usually painting a vivid picture of a Fiji i used to know.
I am,as most Fijians are, proud to identify myself with a great country.Deep down we know for a fact there is no place like home.
So i find it uneasy to really go into details of "must do and must sees" while in Fiji.
May be its the fear that while i want to share my Fiji the way i remember and the grimmes of reality are far from attractive.
So What do you do if anything,well should i say what can you do?
Voice your opinion you might say but to what avail...."Fiji the way the world should be"(pope john paul II) is but a distant memory fast fading away.

May Be its time to stop the blame game,the constant debating of what could have been and start the dialogue of where we are?Really Where Are We,Fiji?

To a Young Lad who is proud to call himself a Fijian not merely by birthrites or land rites but by the power of love for the land inside him,i say "go tell it to the mountains ,overseas and everywhere" that Fiji is living, Fiji is here and Fiji will remain.

I want to start a dialogue on what is,and what can be done?
I mean can we make a diffrence without just throwing money at the symptoms, and mend the underlying problems.
